| Stumbled across this article at Tire Rack. It shows that an under inflated tire will have less road contact on a wet road. Several photos from Michelin, using dyed water and a high speed camera that they setup under glass, makes it very clear that low inflation reduces road contact patch size. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...e.jsp?techid=3 Btw, they have many other tire tech articles that can be accessed from the above linked article. |
