Smile Wheel/Tire/Lift question

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. Getting ready to buy a 2008 FJ 4WD automatic. Will drive on ice/snow in the winter and in the summer will do some moderate to moderate + offroading in SW Colorado.
I am looking at Option E which includes Upgrade Pkg 2 and the Convenience Pkg.
It includes 17 inch 6 spoke alum alloy wheels and P265/70R17 wheels. I assume these are street type tires and probably are ok for my winter use and highway driving. I assume these wheels and tires to not require a lift? If I want to later buy a set of 33 inch offroad tires and wheels will I need to add a 3 inch lift??

no

you dont need the lift, i have the same options on my car and the 33s work but i recomend the lift if u r going to be offroading because they might rub offroad but the dont on,
The tires work fin on the snow

Has anyone tried the Procomp All Terrain tires? I want a tire that I can use both on road and offroad so don't want a real aggressive mud tread and want a quiet ride.

I noticed that the the topic of a lift was addressed in this section so I was wondering if any one had any recomendations. I have heard that the Fox Shock adjustable lift is the best. Does anyone have that and does it affect the ride on the street?

The 265's are A/T's, but are not close to anything I'd call an A/T tire. I just brought home an 07' 4x4 auto and the first thing I am planning on doing is (was) a leveling kit on the front. Now that I know I can run 33's without it, I'm just going to slap a set of Mickey Thompson Radial F-C II's on. Nice and very functional for a 33x12.5x17. I just read the fitment guide on the Mickey Thompson and it says you need a 3" for anything 285x70x17 and larger. Here's a link to the guide http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/Tire_Fitment_Guide_2007.pdf
