| Flat towing my FJC i see all the people asking the questions, unfortunatly i haven't seen the answers, i also bought the 2007 FJ with six speed manual trans to flat tow behind my Diesel Pusher, i hear the way to do this is put the trans in neutral and the transfer case in H (highway mode) anyone that has done this please help, i don't want to spend $3000.00 on hitch if it won't work |

| Towing companys always remove the driveshaft because even with the trans in neutral, some of the internal components still rotate, and without the engine running there is no fluid being pumped for lubrication. However the front I would think is a different story, as long as the transfercase is in neutral, that should work. I did not answer your questions with fact, just experience from past vehicles. I'd ask a Toyota mechanic that you can trust. |
