| I would say that a trip to the service department is in your future. This doesn't sound normal. On the offroading, this is a pretty capable rig straight out of the box. I would go off-road but no too extreme.

| Dont know about your maint question but the stock fj is very good offroad, i just got back from Katemcy Rocks in TX, i was fully stock and only had to whimp out on the hardest of places, i do have scrapes and scratches underneath the FJ but it preformed Wonderfully ![]() |
