| fj40 help.... 350v8 or 2f? I'm looking to buy a 74 fj40 but it has a 350 Chevy v8 in it... I'm getting mixed reviews on what to do? How reliable is the 350 or should i try and put a 2f back in it? If so how hard will the swap be? is the wiring the same? ect... any info would be great!! Its only 4k$ and in VERY good shape no dents or dings or pieces missing... just a few things that will need repair like gauges and things of that nature.... Any advice on what to do? |

| dam bud i really dont know what to tell you. i have friends with both. im currently building one that is getting a 350. ....best of luck. i think chevys are cheaper to fix, and parts are easier to find, all depends on the total package i guess, whats the drive train? stock? modified? ....keep me posted |

| I'm a big fan of the 2F. I put over 475,000 miles on one with zero problems. I changed the oil every 10,000 miles or more. They are not fast but will get you from point A to point B.
