need fj 40 purchase advice

I have wanted a classic cruiser for many years and yesterday I came across a 1971 fj 40 that has been restored head to toe, however, the owner changed some significant things. One the original owner pulled the stock motor and replaced it with a small block chevy and put a matching chevy four speed(manual) in it, both have been rebuilt and have 200 miles on them. secondly, the body has been restored to near perfect but again the owner chose a non cruiser paint scheme to use. The last major thing changed were the seats, not sure what they are from but they have been redone and are nice, just not original equip. This cruiser is very very nice and has been done top to bottom but I am unsure of the changes made from original. I can buy the cruiser for 13k, has the value been killed by the mods or is this a good deal? please give me all opinions, thanks!

My opinion

It really just depends on how au natural you want your cruiser. i chose to get a fixer upper off of ebay for $2950 but everything is original. to me, i am going to do a frame off resto and keep it all factory except for a lift and tires. but this is my personal opinion. if you want something that you can just hop in and have a great time off and on road then the price seems about average to me. a lot of these have the 350 conversion. the 350 definitely makes a difference if you want a daily driver.
