| Premium Gas? Hi Everyone, I just noticed the sticker inside my gas cap which says I should be using premium gas. Is this true? Will it make a difference do ya think? Thanks for your feedback, Pam

| Welcome to the site! That's one of the things stopping people from buying th FJ. The owners manual states: "select Premium Unleaded gasoline (91 octane or higher) for optimum engine performance". However, Regular Unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of 87 is acceptable". What you're going to lose is Horsepower by not using Premium which you may or may not notice depending on your driving style. Here's what octane is all about. Octane Explained |
