Engine swap or repair originalF1

I have a '69 FJ40 all orginal in very good condition. Minor rust on the floor boards. The original F1 engine needs, at a minimum, a valve job and new carburator. Should I repair the F1 engine with 3 speed tranny or swap a chevy 350/350 engine and tranny. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

When my engine finally goes south I'm going to do the V8 conversion along with a 4 speed trnsmission. Then I'll rebuild the 6 cyl and keep it just in case I want to show or sell the FJ.

Check out advance adapters. They have everything you need to get started. Adapters | Engine & Transmission Conversion Adapters - Advance Adapters

You'll be looking at 2g plus a motor to go 350. Unless you get the parts 2nd hand.
