Just picked up a Diesel 1981 BJ44...

From New Zealand for my use in the USA, and I am waiting for it to get shipped.

Anyone ever do this on their own and have any ideas on how to import?

Also, anyone ever convert a Right hand Drive to a Left hand drive? What is involved?

Sure wish I could have found a turbo diesel in the 44 length, but a red 44 with scant rust in Diesel is making me happy.

Now I need to convert to grease and I am set.

(Anyone ever convert to the grease thing on this BB?)

Best,

T

Wow dude sounds like quite a project and I'm jealous. I imported a Fiat spyder back in the early 80's that I bought when I was stationed overseas and it was no biggie but now adays with all the EPA and Customs laws I really don't have a clue. My best advice is get in touch with the company that's going to ship it and they should be able to help you with all the info you seek.

I would be interested in how it goes though.

Great luck!
