| Well I had a blast at Uwharrie. It was the first time I had been there and the first time seeing trails of this magnitude. Just as soon as we hit the trailhead my 4runner friend went through a mudhole and came out with a tire puncture. That slowed us down by about an hour while we removed the tire and plugged it. Then we were back in the action. In the beginning there was 4 vehicles but 2 of them had to back out about 10 minutes down the trail. We hit Falls Dam and it was just to much for the 2 lower clearance vehicles. So my friend in his 4runner and myself in the FJ continued on. On a scale from 1-10 I would give this trail a difficulty of 5. The hardest thing for me was trying to squeeze between trees with very limited room to get the FJ straight enough to pass through. We had to do this a couple times due to some big mud holes and our inability to judge the depth of the water. This was the only trail we hit and it took us nearly 3 hours from the time we repaired the tire until we reached the trail end. I figure someone more experienced with the trail would have been quicker but I see nothing wrong with takin it easy. I feel like I learned a lot just from this one trail. Here are some pictures and videos. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are some video clips, enjoy. | You are right, he is running street tires but they never slowed him down, even after we plugged it. He has been on many different trails in NC, TN, & KY as far as I know and he claims he has never gotten stuck. He does want to get some BFG's though. Honestly, I was amazed at the traction he had. The tires are General Ameritracs I believe. I hope he can get some new tires sometime soon. And you are very right, this area of the southeast is awesome, especially in the fall. I can't wait for the fall it is my favorite time of year.
