What Gives With FJC Owners

Ok, I've had my FJC for a couple of months now...wanted one since it's induction into the world. Finally got mine.
But, in Killeen, Texas there is a Metric Sh#% ton of them cruising around, I always give a little wave every time I pass one in a kind of "Hey Brother".
Do I get any kind of acknowledgment back... NO. WTH!!!
So much for FJC brotherhood in this area huh!?!?

Pompous jerks, they'll probably never even get theirs off road, let alone dirty...

Sorry, probably more of a vent than any kind of observation...
Thanks for listening

No it's not you but a sign of the times. Even the owners of the old FJ-40's no longer wave and I've also been riding a Harley since the early 80's and have noticed that more and more riders are no longer giving that friendly wave. Like you mentioned, most of these people are fair weather drivers/riders and really don't appreciate the rides.

Yeah don't feel like you are the only one. I too get the same treatment in the FJC. Also get the same when I drive the Titan around. As you said there are a metric sh!t ton of them in my area as well, but never really get any acknowledgement. Like Squiddly said "It's a sign of the Times."

I usually get a wave - but then again I am usually hauling along 3 stinky bird dogs so I don't know if they are waving or laughing at me! I get more looks when I am towing my little 12' Scamp trailer behind it and both the trailer and the FJ are coated in mud. The trailer also has a oval bumper sticker that says "Trailer Trash" on it. It get's alot of laughs from the ladies.

I hardly ever see another FJC in my area but a couple I have seen threw up their hand as did I. The rest I have seen apparently wanted to buy a Hummer but couldn't afford it. Not bashing a Hummer by any means.

A wave please

In Tennessee its the same. I wave, rarely get one back. I was hoping that the Fj community would be like the Jeep community, Freindly. Try a wave please

My faith, restored.

A short time back I had mentioned this post to my wife and we both had started to note how rare it was to get any form of acknowledgement from my fellow FJ drivers

I think due to partly to the number of young girls I find driving FJ's,
kind'a hot but... whats up with that? Maybe that could be a thread of it's own.

On our journey across town Sept 17th 09.
traveling up RT51/Piestewa Frw in Phoenix we passed another FJ and just as we passed I gave a half ass wave (expecting to be snubbed once again) only to see the driver roll down his window to give us a salute, blown away I dove off.
later on loop 101 our paths crossed again and I got a chance to return the favor. It made my day and I hope his as well.

My faith has been restored.

Maybe the economy taking a dump will remind people of the simpler pleasures like making each others day rather then seeing who can buy the biggest and most expensive Latte, LOL.
