New to the forum from central NC

Hey guys and gals. New member here chiming in from central NC. While I am new to the forums and new to Toyota I have actually had my FJ cruiser for almost a year. I bought a 2008 Sunfusion, 4x4, A/T in August 2008 and I have been enjoying it since. Previously I owned 3 different Subarus starting with a 2000 Impreza RS coupe, followed by a 2003 WRX wagon, and then a 2004 Forester XT that I modified for medium track duty. I have spent over 8 years in the Subaru community and remain active there with no end in sight. I hope to say the same for the FJ community in the years to come. I look forward to sharing knowledge and experiences here with you guys.

Yeah it's kinda slow around here. Welcome to the forums. I''ve got an 08 2wd for the wife. So I miss out on all the off-road fun. Tried to talk her into a 4wd at the time, but she didn't want one. Now she's kicking herself in the arse. Well good to have you. Hopefully business will pick up and things will get somewhat active. Any mod plans on the FJ yet?

People come and look but seem to always be waiting for someone else to post something interesting. Go figure?

^^^^^^^^:lol:Yeah, guilty of that myself.

As for my FJC, I have installed some sound system bits including a Sony xplod amp hooked to a 12" Kicker sub. I also did a custom install of some 3_1/2" Polk audio 2 way speakers in the rear pillars. I have also mounted and wired up some Hella 500 driving lights on the front bumper. I have a set on the roof accompanied by some Hella FF1000's as well mounted to a Tuffy brand light bar. The most recent thing I did was install a 2" lift. Used Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks up front with Toytec springs in the rear. My FJ came with the TRD 16" wheels wrapped in BFG AT KO tires but I would like someday to get me either 17" or 18" with some wider more aggresive looking tires. That will be quite a look into the future though. Here are a couple pictures. The bottom one is the latest showing the 2" lift.

Very nice looking ride and a nice start. By the way, what's that on the rack in the 2nd picture?

In the 2nd picture that is a Thule cargo basket with bike trays for carrying the mt bikes. I have sold the basket and trays since that picture though. We now have a truck so I use it when transporting the bikes. I noticed you have a Dodge Ram. Well, thats what we have. Traded in the wifes car and picked up a brand new 2009 Ram 1500 quad cab. It's not a SLT or laramie and it doesn't have a hemi but it gets the job done. Here is a shot of it.
