US Army Procurement From Toyota

In the 60's and 70's, the U.S. Army procured a large volume of World War II specification vehicles from Tokyota Motors. I was in Nagoga at the time coordinating the shipment out of Nagoya Port. I remember the Ise Bay typhoon and its consequences resulting in re-working the vehicles as I recall. Would like to know the total number procured, by type, during this period. Where can I obtain this information. Thank you.

does anyone know if the military still has any of these or where they may have been stored since being taken outa service. it would be nice to find a warehouse full of parts for the older models and get them cheap from the military. i am looking for various parts for my 1961 fj40. what a find that would be.
