| Newbie Offroader IS THERE A WAY TO TURN OFF THE AIRBAGS FOR OFFROADING (BESIDES PULLING FUSES?)... A BUDDY OF MINE LIKES MY FJ BUT SAID THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL GIVE ME PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY MIGHT GO OFF ACCIDENTALLY WHEN CLIMBING AND OVER TILTING. HE ALSO STATED THAT IF I CAN OVERIDE THEM, IT WOULD BE BETTER THAN PULLING THE FUSES. SHOULD I BE WORRIED BY THIS OR TRUST IN THE TECHNOLOGY? |

| I've only seen this happen once, and not in an FJ. A guy in a Jeep was off-roading and came down a hill just a little too fast, rolled over a big rock. The Jeep slowed considerably, but on the other side of the rock he hit a smaller rock with the front bumper and POOF!...airbag deployment. I suppose it could happen. Just have to be careful I guess. I know you can shut off the passenger side in an FJ, but unsure about the driver side. Good luck with that.
