Thinking about an FJ!

Hello Everyone,

I currently drive a Highlander 4 cylinder, FWD. My job requires a lot of miles while still able to haul around some rather large boxes. I need good MPG's with cargo room. The Highlander is perfect, except in the winter. I live in the Midwest and we just got hit with our first storm. Needless to say, I was spinning pretty good yesterday! I am on a lease for the Highlander and due to turn it over in March. Does anyone have input on what would be better: upgrading to a 4 wheel drive Highlander or going with an FJ - any info on lease pricing and/or MPG's would be appreciated - thanks!!

Well, dude, I gotta tell ya, if you're looking for economy, the FJ ain't it. Yer looking at 16-18 mph cause it is a true mountain climbing power machine. You can't have both perfomance and fuel economy, I don't care what anybody says. I don't think it offers the best as a far as cargo space either, but you would have to judge that for yourself. Those little suicide doors don't give much loading/unloading room. Don't get me wrong, I love my FJ, but I bought it to play with, and it's great for that.
