| Spark Plugs won't come out easily? It's my first attempt to change spark plugs and the first one I tried seems to be really in there. I don't want to snap it off or ruin the threads so here I am asking the question. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I just being a baby? Should I just strong arm it? |

| try spraying some penetrating oil down onto the plug base and letting it sit. Aluminum and steel don't play nice all the time, specially when there is the heat involved with combustion. Make sure you have a solid seating on the plug with the socket then while holding the ratchet end firmly with one hand, give the handle a couple of firm taps with the other. I did plugs on my LS1 this summer and they were tough to get out, when putting plugs back in, anti seize is a must on the threads. |
