| How do I change 2008 2wd differential fluid? Can someone please give me the brief skinny on changing my differential fluid out front/rear in my 2008 2wd FJ? Want to check the level and also change it out for fresh clean fluid so I know its exactly what it should be, and the level where it should be... Also, does Amsoil make a equivalent replacement fluid...? Thanks in advance....

| Toyota Diffs are easy!! park on level surface. Remove the top fill plug on the pumpkin. Place catch pan under bottom of the pumpkin. Remove drain Plug.. Drain completely. Reinsert drain plug with anti-seize. Torque to 25 Ft-lbs fill with gear lube. i would recommend 75-140 synthetic. best overall protection. fill till it comes out of the hole and overflows. reinstall fill plug. anti-seize. torque to 25. DONE |
