first maintenance on 2007 fj cruiser?

Hi Guys...I have a 2007 FJ Cruiser and I am wondering when should it have its first maintenance stuffs done?

1.) What should be the ODO reading for its first oil change?
2.) What stuffs should be replaced during its oil change? (aside from oil and filter)

Thanks in advance for those who will provide the helpful info..

Sam

Toyota says 5000 mile for the first oil and filter change along with the following.

Inspect Air Filter
Inspect Body Nuts and Bolts
Inspect Brake Disc
Inspect Brake Drums
Inspect Brake Pads and Lining
Change Engine Oil
Replace Oil Filter
Inspect Steering Linkage
Rotate Tires

The only way I know of to fix the daytime lights is to barely apply the parking brake but I never wanted to try it. It was a mechanic who told me that but just not worth it.

I'm still trying to find a wiring diagram. When I find one we'll be able to find the power wire and then be able to put a switch in to manually turn them off and on.

I'm changing my oil at 500 miles, then on to more normal change intervals. I checked my oil yesterday (413 mi.) and there is some of the fine black residue from break-in that is normal. I'm also making sure that the oil filters I use will have a silicone drain back valve considering it's near inverted orientation.
John.

There's a long convoluted technical thing circulated by Toyota that's on some other site but on the same thread was a post saying that you just disconnect the wiring assembly connector thingie behind the left headlight. I did this three months ago and everything has worked fine. The connector is on a small bracket holding it against the body so be careful not to just rip the entire connector apart. There's also a push retainer that keeps the conector halves together so don't rip that apart without pushing the correct lever, and it might be nice to slide it back into the retainer so that the assmbly doesn't just flop around.

Great first post.

You might also think of taping them up to keep mud and gunk out of them.
