hitch mounted bike carrier

Hi,

I have a hitch mounted bike carrier I used with my 2002 Highlander.
I want to use it with the 2008 FJ.
Does having a hitch installed require the back up sonar to be disconnected permanently ?

thanks

Bike attachment to hitch...

I have the bike rack hitch attachment. My FJ came with the hitch, and bought the attachment. The rear sonar switch just needs to be off... Simple push of a button...
