Install new Factory Rear Bumper Pad

Some Bozo did a hit and run on my bumper. I have the new pad (its the little corner piece). How do I pop it in?

That's why the site is here. When you get this done let us know if you ran into anything not in the manual because I'm sure you won't be the last person having to do this.

Bumper Pad

Ya it goes in pretty easy. it snaps in place by three snaps on the pad and then you use 5 clips to secure it. it can be tight to put in the top right clip.

Fj boo boo all better now

I ordered the Pad online for $115 including shipping. Had to then order the 5 clips to hold the pad in place. I downloaded the instructions that were posted here. I went to my tool box and pulled out my hammer and channel locks and decided things would not end well. So, I called my mechanic and he told me to hit up his body repair guy. I showed up there at 8am. !/2 hour later, the pad was on and my ride was once again whole. He charged me $20. He did not remove the entire bumper. He used tools I had never even seen before. Thanks to all for the info.

I had the same mishap last night - got somebodys paint on my rear passenger side bumper pad. i'll see if the car wash and some elbow grease will take the stuff off. if not oh well .... will go get a nice new rear bumper pad for the right side.
Bosshoss, does the pad come off without removing any other part of the bumper ? would you by any chance have a list of all the parts you ordered. part numbers too if you could please. Thanks a bunch.

You will need five white clips to hold the pad in place. The body shop pulled off the splash guard and a few other screws from under the bumper but did not remove the whole bumper. I tossed the invoice for the parts so I don't have the parts number for the clips. They were $1.40 each. Good Luck!

My wife decided to back into a car today... ripped the bumper pad right off. Body shop wants $250 to replace it and says it has to be painted and the whole bumper needs to be removed. Is that right?
