Done!

Took me a while to figure out how to disconnect the sonar, but once I got it, looked back at the pic and it was shown perfectly.

Buying the extra clips (bought 2) was worthwhile - ended up breaking one during the removal. The impact had torn the tabs but left the clips in tact, so the removal was slightly different in my case.

Found the part cheaper on line like everyone else, but after factoring in shipping, it wasn't worth the wait. My dealer was kind enough to give me a decent discount. Tried a dealer closer to my house, but they had terrible service and wouldn't even match coupons.

Bottom clips were the biggest pain - couldn't get them to align until I pushed everything back together.

Thanks for putting the tutorial together. All in all, saved about $60 labor.

Thanks!

Hello everyone. First time posting here. I, too, have to replace my left rear bumper pad. Question: Do you have to remove the bumper to replace the pad? It may already have been asked, but if so, I didn't see it. BTW, thanks for the directions. I'm sure they'll come in handy!

Is it me, or is always the Mrs. who backs the FJ into a fire hydrant or some other immobile object. In any event, thank you for the illustration and forum thread. This is going to make my Mrs. very happy.

On penalty of death I have been instructed to note that I may have been responsible for hitting the fire hydrant. In any event, the Mrs. is grateful for the illustration.

I just finished replacing my rear passenger pumper pad and as ready as I thought I was for the job, I wasn't. I came back inside to search the forum, and the PDF by TRS888 was a savings grace. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The diagrams from the manual made the "claws" sound and look more intricate than they really were.
