I just bought a used FJ Cruiser and I am needing some assistance. I bought it with a few parts that were either (a) missing, or (b) less than perfect.

One is a panel on the left hand side of the steering wheel and down about 9" or so... it is a cover that covers a bunch of plugs of some sort. Yes, I'm female, so excuse my lack of car lingo!

The other thing I'm looking for/ needing help with is the sleeve/pocket thing (rectangle shape) that goes around the 2H/4H shifter. My sleeve has broken or something, as it won't stay in place. I'm wondering if it's a seal or something beneath that somehow the sleeve is supposed to connect to. I'm just confused.

Last but not least, I'm needing a cup holder insert. I looked on eBay and these are near $20+. Any idea how I can go about getting one of these? It doesn't have be be "FJ", it can be a generic insert. Looking for one about $5 if possible... $20 seems a little extreme.

i too need the cup holder inserts i seen them on ebay as well. other then that the dealer wich would cost more. or u can look at your local junk yard. the other psrts u describe i think u can find on ebay as well or also junk yard or dealer. u just have to hunt around to find things at a price u want.. happy hunting and good luck.

I have found that the best cup holder is from a 1998 buick, it retracts away when not in use.
The challenge is that you need to install a center console if you have one of the classic fj40's, but this holder is sweet
