Forgot how, need a little help

OK been lazy, and ungodly busy at work, I hit a 5K mark and the maintenance light came on, yeah, yeah I know I probably need to get it in, but it's buggn now, dealer told me how to reset but I forgot...anybody know how???

Put the key in the ignition.
Press and hold the trip odometer button.
Turn the key to the on position (no need to start it).
Wait for the odometer display LCD ------ to start then stop flashing.
Release the trip odometer button.
Turn the key to the off position.
Enjoy.

Just to make sure when you say "get it in", you do mean for an oil change and not repair?

Also, the Odometer needs to be in the total miles mode when it was shut off last - not odo A or odo B.
