| Should I? Hello to all, I do not own a FJ… yet. I am at the point of doing research and seeing what kind of community is out there for support. I have not owned an older vehicle before so I am a bit hesitant to jump right in and be over my head. I am looking for a pre 1980 BJ or FJ. I want this for my daily driver so I am not looking to drop in a 350, was actually thinking of converting to bio-diesel… thoughts on that? There are a few questions that I have for those who would like to respond. I would like to see if there are any places I could look to purchase a FJ other than craigslist or ebay. Any ideas? How is the availability of parts? Is there a pretty stable market for it or will I have to search for something that is relatively common? Any other tips or comments will be much appreciated. Thanks! |

| Do you like wrenching? Do you know anything about carburators, ponts, condensors and own a timing light? If not, then these probably aren't for you. If you said yes then you won't find a better vehicle to restore and own, nor a better experience. This post has a bunch of links to get your feet wet and I'll be here forever (I own the site) to help. http://www.toyotafjcruiserforums.com/2170-post2.html |
