Anyone Disappointed w/Paint Job?

Hi All,

BTW, I'm new here and thank you for having me

I have to say that I think Toyota did a lousy job in regards to the quality of the paint. It seems to chip and scratch very easily and the border between the body and roof seems to be rough.

Anyone else notice this?

I agree BigBlue. Seems we got the "basic" paint. It kind of makes sense when you think about the type of environments that the FJ is designed for. I'd hate for the vehicle to cost $2000 more because it was metalflake or pearl...

I too am in agreement. Seems to be the case nowadays with all vehicles. I've got an 04 Nissan Titan, and if I stare at it too hard the paint will scratch. Guess they're trying to save a buck or two.

This is a problem with several Toyotas. My wife's 2009 Corolla, and the 2007 Rav4 I traded for the FJC both chip very easily. Be careful you don't drag anything across the paint as it will leave scratches.
