pop open windows

One of the very few complaints I have about FJ's, is the lack of ventilation. In the summer, it's either A/C on, or the windows down, blowing everything around, and worst of all drowning out the radio.(I know I'm crying like a girl) I have two remedies: 1st - sunroof (for discussion at a later time) 2nd - modify the stationairy windows in the rear quarter doors to pop open. It looks so easy for toyota to do I don't know why they didn't, unless there is a reason. Does anybody know of one? It looks like to me, that some window hinges could be bought a junk yard, and installed fairly easily. What do you think, sound like it can be done?

I thought the same thing myself. The rear mini-windows in the Tacoma extended cab can be opened - why not the FJ?

I will check the Tacoma hardware and weatherstripping. I am sure it can be done. The one thing that worries me, is not getting a good seal around the window, and it whines like a jeep. My wife came up with this idea, said she thought I could do it. I blew her off, not paying much attention. But I think she is right.
