Good deal? Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and am looking for any useful information before buying an fj. I am looking at getting a manual but I have only driven an automatic so far. I loved the automatic so I am sure I will love the manual. The dealer I went to said they could get me a manual with the convienience package, roof rack, towing package for just over 25k. I was wondering if this is a reasonable price or if I can get find a better deal or should get them to lower it? Any information before I get serious about buying an fj would be appreciated. Especially from those of you who own a manual transmission. Thanks again!

If you haven't already, check out CarsDirect.com -- America's #1 way to buy cars online!, go to the bottom of the home page, under "Research by make." That will allow you to drill in to the make/model, etc., select options, and ultimately see what they claim to be the dealer's price on any given item. I found this helpful...I purchased mine 3 weeks ago. From what I understand, now is a good time to buy, per slow sales at the dealerships....especially if you're into playing the negotiation game and you're not picky on color. When it comes to options, some dealers...especially the big ones, seem to be willing to give-in a little especially if they have things like an extra tow harness in stock in the service dept. Good luck.

Fj 4 U! Hi there! I have driven both and as an everyday driver plus the automatic was our choice hands down. However purchasing in this market, I would find a used one if you can. People are making deals out there easily. I am not sure where you live, but we have two FJ's and we LOVE them, but we only need 1 now. The one we are selling is a fully loaded 4x4 2007 FJ in VOODOO Blue. I would check your local craigslist or if you are in SO CAL you can check out ours!
