Back up sensor

Hello, I have had my FJ since last August and recently my back up sensor is beeping continuously even when there is nothing behind me! it is not dirty and has nothing on it, and when i shift into reverse it does not beep evenly like it usually does, (BEEP BEEP BEEP) it is a new tone i have not hers before (BEEPBEEP BEEPBEEP BEEPBEEP) and i do not know why it is doing this...i was wondering if anyone knew anything about this

thanks, Dave

Still under warranty? If so I'd take it to the dealer and have them check it out.

Turn it off. It is not designed to be in the "on" potistion all the time. The continous beep is telling you that the button is "on". When you put it in reverse, the 'remider' beep and the backup 'warning' beep are in conflict. Shut it off and this condition should disappear.
