| After driving a Jeep Cherokee for 4 years and having owned a Wrangler, I can tell you honestly that the FJ is MUCH more stable on and off road than a Jeep. I find myself taking off-ramps 10-15MPHs faster than I ever could in my Cherokee, while feeling perfectly safe. The only problem is I tend to stare at my Clinometer to see what kind of angle I am pulling around the corner...thus I take my eyes off the road |

| personally I'm not to concerned about the fuel mileage as this machine doesn't get that good of milage anyway, I did the change for the looks. i have put on pro comp 33x12.50x17 mud terrains on the stock wheels with a 3" lift. i did notice a bit of a power loss so to compensate i installed a magnaflow high perfomance cat back stainless exhaust. i now have more power and get better milage than this machine has ever got. as far as stability goes I don't think there is a more stabile 4x4 out there with functionality and incredible looks of the fj cruiser
