I would like to do the samething. All of my other vehicles have it, and I miss it. But I believe it would be very difficult, even with toyota parts. If you find a way. please let us all know.

I was wrong, just found out unit can be purchased from dealer for around $95.00. It's is plug and play, but some modifacation has to be made to steering wheel. Overall looks easy.

There is factoty plug behind the steering wheel cover.

Buy the Toyota part and you have to disassemble the steering wheel cover. Cut factory cover to match steering weel control part and then plug harness into factory plug behind wheel cover. Requires careful marking and cutting of factory steering wheel cover.

I used it wih a steering wheel interface kit and an aftermarket Kenwood touchscreen head unit. Use of volume and channel take a spit second to react and change volume or channel.

Fairly easy job........about an hour ..........if the wheel cover is cut cleanly, you cannot tell the difference between the add on and a factory installed wheel control.
