| In the begin there was the FJ Cruiser C package driven for 2 years without considering taking it off road. Last year with some encouragement from a friend with a jeep (he has since sold it) I ran 17th side road in Milton. Well, I have to say after that I was hooked. Even after the pin striping of my second run of 17th with FJ Cruisers Ontario I was still into it. So on to the first serious mod! I was looking into rock rails about a month ago and went to ask SKI for advice (CT Motorsports). After a lot of research and questions (thanks for your patience) he showed me the rock rails he was working on for Fred's truck. Well I asked if he could modify them slightly as I still wanted to be able to use them for a step and he worked his magic and here is the result. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BIG THANKS TO DAN! I think he did every one of those welds and what a great job! ![]() Special features include: square pipe, a notch for the pinch weld at the bottom of the rocker panels, angled extensions with a cut out to access the bolt and level step. Ski did tell me what type of metal and thickness, but it's a little beyond my education in such matters.
