The sidebars on the roof rack flare out as they move towards the front of the roof. why don't they make the crossbar long enough to move all the way to the front of the roof rack? it would be helpful for my 17 ft old town penobscot canoe...any suggestions???

i think this has been posted before, but the other post got no love...help me out guys.

My rack as two bars that are longer by a bit. Try measuring yours to see if you have a bar that stretches out further than the rest. That's the one for the front.

thanks, guintos. the bar in the rear is long enough for the front where the side bars flare out.
