Towing Harness

My fj did not come with a 4-way towing plug from the factory. The harness was under the rear of the truck.
I plugged in a factory harness I got from a wreck into the harness that is under the truck.
I can only get tail lights to work. The brake and directional poles have no power to them.
I did check all the fueses.
Any ideas????
Thanks

Do you have a tow mode switch? First time I towed with my Titan the turn signals didn't work until I engaged the Tow Mode switch ... don't know if this is supposed to be how it works but ...

Also, maybe the harness from the wreck was the cause of the wreck ... j/k but you never know.

I looked under the dash of one that has a towing pack.
I found that there is a control mod. under the L/s of the dash. Mine does not have one. I do have the plug for one. I thinks that the problem.

So is that the culprit?
