Looking to Change stock audio system

I was wondering what you all would do....I'm a complete audiophile, but most of my experience is with professional recording studio gear, not car audio. I have the factory system, 6 speakers w/ am/fm/cd, which in my opinion is ok, but not great. I want to replace everything, speakers and all, but i can't seem to find replacements for the dash and ceiling speakers. I would like to add two rear speakers as well as a sub and amp, and of course, replace the head unit. Does anyone have any suggestions or know where i can find the list/diagram of audio components in the 08 FJ? Has anyone else done something like this to theirs? Thanks guys...

I think the stock system sucks. I got the premium sound upgrade which includes the sub... and it's crap. All you can adjust is bass and treble which leaves the mids sounding terrible. I'm going to try and add an EQ to help it out, although I don't know where I could fit it without making it look tacky.

Audio Upgrade

I changed my head unit to Eclipse with navigation. Low and behold Toyota uses Eclipse as their factory units. Everything wired up without having to rewire anything.

If you aren't familiar with Eclipse, I'd be happy to post more info. They are very audiophile.....

I love mine

I am not very famuliar with it. Do you have pictures of how it looks in your FJ? I am looking to beef up my audio system also. The stock 6 speaker system sucks. All of the sound is in your face.... not all around you.
