| The FJ is an awesome off-roader but minor mods are needed from stock. First thing to do to stop things like that from happening is if you haven't got the cash for a lift kit then install "Bump Stops" as a cheaper alternative.
What's causes the cracks or crumpling of the chassis is the wheels slamming into the arches/chassis which causes the cracking/crumpling. Bump Stops should prevent this from happening. Installation is approx $150+
