The way to prevent this is to install the appropriate lift kit for the type of off-roading you are going to do. Unfortunately, for you, you now have a body re-alignment problem. You should get it to a body shop and get is straightened out. (NOTE: Toyota will not warranty this condition.) Then get a lift kit installed to prevent it in the future. Good luck to you. | The only off road I did was to start a trip from Texas to the South of Argentina, almost 30.000 miles yet. I suppose the FJ Trail Teams should be able to support road conditions other than the one on paved roads. I had to do a realignment underway (some 5.000 miles ago) because the right front tire started to wear out on the inner side, but at that moment I didn’t notice the crack problem! Anyhow here in Chile where they sell the FJ they do not seem to know the ‘crack’ problem. Toyota Chile does not subscribe the warranty of Toyota US! What would be an appropriate lift kit for the Trail Teams? Thx. |
