Your's should be. In 1977 certain model Toyota's came with electronic ignition and then in 1978 all models of Toyota's had electronic ignition.
If your igniter is bad and you don't want to go OEM the MSD 6 is the replacememnt.
If you search around you may be able to find it cheaper but this is what you're looking for.
