A good, reliable, secure safari style rack will run $500-$800 in a basic config. I don't know of any real bargains, but I do know that you don't want to skimp on quality. If you are getting a travel rack, that means you're putting "your stuff" up there, and you don't want to waste your vacation replacing your stuff because your cheap rack didn't do the job.
