220,000 in my old saab turbo without 1 turbo problem using Amsoil 0w30.....

I have used it in everything and absolutely will not use anything else. SSO-0W30 has a 35,000 mile service life and their synthetic filters 25,000 miles. I still change at 7500-8000, which may be overkill, but the engines look and drive new longer than you can believe.

for fj cruiser I use SSO-0W30 and an EAO-34 filter

It calls for an EAO-57 filter. EAO-34 filter is a slightly larger(taller) filter with a slightly larger o-ring gasket(better sealing). More synthetic filter media = better filtering area and less resistance.
