I am used to Jeep Cherokees which are towable (dingy style - four feet on the ground) I have managed to put about 200,000 miles on two different Cherokees including about 20-30,000 of off road (I do this for a business). ALl I have to do for a Cherokee (other than the repair bills) is to mount the tow pads hook up the aux breaking system and go down the road.
So here we are - based on the threads I have reviewed, there seems to be some missing or inclomplete information. As the man says "I need input"
1) All of this is for a 4 wheel drive 2008 FJ
2) What can be made towable ( automatic, standard shift)?
3) Drive shaft disconnect/ fluid pump/both/other?
4) Manufacturer of above? How much?
5) Who did the modification? How much?
6) Aux brake system? How much?
7) How far have you towed it? Problems, issues
8) What happens when the dealer saw the mod (what happens to your warranty)?
9) Would you do it again?
If you do not have a complete story on towing the FJ, do you know someone willing to soend about 20-30 minutes with me. | Did you get any of the answers to your questins? Is so, can you pass them on to me... also if you put into play, what are your observations? |
