Has anyone else had trouble getting the cross bars set up on the stock roof rack? I can't seem to get enough distance between the back stationary cross bar and the adjustable one in the front. It will only go so far forward before the bracket can't hold it anymore. I use my truck for work too and want a better set up to carry a decent size ladder. Is there a better after market roof rack that would be better for me. I have looked around but I am so cheap and I think I want one that will fit into the factory bolt pattern correctly or just modify the one I have . Anyone run deal with this?
