I have a 1965 Toyota land cruiser that is in desprate need in a suspension lift and new tires, anyone have any ideas?
I don't understand Toyota. I watched a TV commercial promoting Toyota's great 4-wheel line-up. Guess what.....not a single mention of the FJ's. If I had not seen 2010's on thge dealer lots already, I'd think they were cancelled. Why would they not promote their best and most unique 4-wheel drive.
Sounds like something the US fed Govt would do. Are they running Toyota now too? LOL
The following is a list of changes for the upcoming 2010 Fj Cruiser including new color, engine and fuel economy:
New Color: Army Green replaces VooDoo Blue. (May have to get one to park next to my 72)
New 4.0L V6 Dual VVT-I engine
adds 20 horsepower from 239HP to 259HP
Reduces torque from 278 LBS-FT to 270 LBS-FT ( to an avid 4wheeler I don't like that because anyone who's ever been stuck in the mud or does any climbing knows... [Read More]

According to an Automotive News article back in August the FJ Cruiser won't be updated by Toyota and be allowed to complete it's life cycle and then dropped in the next few years.

There's been a new book released called Sarah's Wish and I want to share it with you.
I know it seems strange to be announcing this on the homepage but the reason I'm doing this is because I know the Author. I know him like we know most people in our lives, by association but not personally. I've known Jim for 10 years but have never spoken to him until now. I know he works at a Financial Institution and has for over 10 years. I also know in his spare time he Volunteers at a living museum called Old Cowtown in Wichita.
I heard that he had written a book and not only that but it had also been published which to me is astounding of and in itself but then as I read a little of a copy I got my hands on I realized it's also a very good book and then to top it all off I found out that all the proceeds from every book sold goes to the Maude Carpenter Children's Home in Wichita, Kansas. Wow!
Needless to say, I decided I wanted to do what I could to help make this dream a reality thus the Homepage Announcement.
Jim has a website here http://www.sarahbooks.net/ with more details and I know for a fact that the book can be bought there from the publisher and at any local bookstore, plus the usual online sites like Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, Booksamillion.com and Barnes and Noble.com, etc .
To sweeten the deal (As if buying something for a Children's Home isn't enough) Everyone who buys and post a picture of their copy I will put their name in a hat for a chance to win a personalized copy that I'll buy and get Jim to inscribe, and I'll ship to you for free. (and if that isn't motivation enough I'll guarantee you a 1 in 10 chance to win.) So the first person to get their copy just start a thread and upload the pic and if you don't have a camera no problem, I'll just ask you about something from the book.
Thanks!
